De afgelopen weken heb ik niet stilgezeten. Samen met Rinus Aarts heb ik een working sabbatical gehouden. Dat wil zeggen: 2 weken hard werken aan het uitvoeren van ideeen die we al lang op de plank hadden ligggen.

Erg leuk om te doen. Veel gedaan, veel geleerd. Hoofdresultaat: De Echte Groeten.

Nog meer nieuws? Jawel! Deze week ga ik full-time aan de slag voor de SNS Bank, om daar mee te draaien in het service-team. Doel: optimaliseren van het service gedeelte van de site. Ik heb er veel zin in.

Elke goede webanalist doet het: links naar je eigen website taggen met Google Analytics tracking codes, om zo het succes van je campagnes te bepalen.

Wat niet elke goede webanalist doet, is bijhouden welke source, medium en campagne parameters gebruikt zijn. En wanneer, en door wie, en in welke vorm precies.

Naar model van de online link builder tool van Google heb ik een Excel sheet gemaakt die kan dienen als link generator.

En omdat ik het leven van elke webanalist zo makkelijk mogelijk wil maken, biedt ik bij deze aan de wereld aan: de Google Analytics URL Builder Excel Sheet.

De excel sheet is gemaakt met Excel 2008 voor de Mac. Het is vooralsnog een versie die ik vooral zelf heb getest.

Features:

• utm_source, utm_medium en utm_campaign parameters
• slim koppelteken gebruik (vraagteken of ampersand)
• aanklikbare waardes, gegenereerd vanuit vaste lijsten
• werkblad met datum/naam/uitgegeven link voor archivering

De vormgeving is bijna niet aanwezig; ruimte genoeg een branded versie te maken voor eigen gebruik dus

Dat is heel fijn, want de visualisaties in de nieuwe interface zijn mooi en duidelijk. En binnenkort komen ze naar je toe in je mailbox.

Tennismat

Hits. Je vindt ze tegenwoordig voornamelijk in de Top 40, en bijna niet meer in de web analyse rapportages.

Toch wil ik even zeggen dat er behoorlijk wat hits op forwardslash.nl terecht komen: in het echt! Mijn naam staat sinds een tijdje op een echte tennismat, die staat bij Tennisvereniging Park Hoeven in Uden.

2010 zit er op, lang leve 2011! Bij deze wens ik iedereen het allerbeste voor het nieuwe jaar: veel succes, veel geluk en natuurlijk veel plezier.

Terugkijkend op 2010 kan ik zeggen dat ik met enorm veel plezier heb gewerkt. Mijn eerste (bijna volledige) jaar als full-time zelfstandig ondernemer heeft me veel meer gebracht dan ik had durven hopen.

Niet alleen heb ik een mooi bestand van leuke klanten opgebouwd, maar ik heb superveel geleerd, ik ben veel beter geworden in mijn vak, en ik heb heel erg veel inspirerende en goede mensen ontmoet.

Wat 2011 gaat brengen weet ik nog niet, maar stil zitten zal ik niet. Ik heb al behoorlijk wat opdrachten, en ga ook nog wat eigen initiatieven ontplooien en producten ontwikkelen.
